CDFIPB Careers Portal: Application Requirements for 2025 Recruitment – Are you ready to apply via the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire & Immigration Services Board (CDFIPB or CDCFIB) portal? Before you begin, ensure you meet all the required criteria. Here’s a full breakdown of the application requirements you must satisfy to avoid disqualification.

What is the CDFIPB / CDCFIB Application?

The CDFIPB / CDCFIB portal handles recruitment for four major paramilitary/security agencies in Nigeria:

  • NSCDC (Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps)

  • NIS (Nigeria Immigration Service)

  • NCoS (Nigerian Correctional Service)

  • FFS (Federal Fire Service)

When applying, each candidate must select only one agency and one cadre/role. Applying to more than one leads to automatic disqualification.

General Eligibility Requirements

Here are the key requirements you need to fulfil:

Requirement Details
Citizenship Must be a Nigerian citizen.
Age Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
Physical Requirements – For male applicants: At least 1.65 meters in height and a minimum chest measurement of 0.87 meters.
– For female applicants: Minimum height of 1.60 meters.
– Good physical and medical fitness.
Character / Background Clean criminal record. Must not have been convicted of financial misconduct or other serious offences. Good moral character.
Educational Qualifications Minimum: Senior Secondary Certificate (SSCE) with credits in English & Mathematics. Candidates with higher qualifications (NCE, OND, HND, Bachelor’s Degree, etc.) are often preferred depending on the cadre.

Documents & Other Requirement Items

During the application or subsequent screening/documentation phases, you’ll need:

  • Valid identification documents (National ID, NIN slip, etc.)

  • Birth certificate or age declaration.

  • Proof of state of origin.

  • Passport-sized photographs.

  • Academic certificates/diplomas; original and possibly copies. If you only have a statement of result, find out whether it’s acceptable or if you’ll need the full certificate before verification.

  • Medical fitness certificate (this may not be required at the very start, but is often needed during physical screening/documentation).

Rules to Avoid Disqualification

To avoid being disqualified, pay attention to these:

  • Apply to only one agency (NSCDC or Immigration or Fire Service, or Correctional). Multiple applications = disqualification.

  • Use accurate information – mistakes in name spelling, certificate names, state of origin, etc., can cause problems.

  • Ensure all scanned/uploaded documents are clear, valid, and legible.

  • The application is free. Beware of anyone demanding payment or claiming a guarantee of selection.
